What is it?
The Orbitrap Fusion tribrid is a high resolution and high sensitivity mass spectrometer that utilised the Orbitrap detector and ion trap detector for glycoproteomics analysis and relative quantitation with and without tandem mass tags. It is coupled to a Thermo nanoLC that provides high sensitivity analysis using small amounts of samples.
Manufacturer: Thermo Fisher Scientific
Model Name: Orbitrap Fusion Tribrid with ETD
Applications: Glycoproteomics analysis (intact and non-intact) for N- and O-glycopeptides
Instrument Overview: The mass spectrometer has an Orbitrap detector and ion trap detector that allows for high resolution analysis (up to 500,000) and relative quantitation with and without tandem mass tags (TMT). It has five types of multiple dissociation techniques, HCD, CID ETD, EthcD and EtciD and provides flexibility for combination of different fragmentation at any stage of MSn. It can switch between 3 ionization sources – ESI, nanospray flex and Easy spray nano source. It is coupled to a Thermo nanoLC that provides high sensitivity analysis using small amounts of samples at microlitre injections.
