What is it?
The Waters Xevo G2-S is a quadrupole time-of-flight (QTOF) mass spectrometer that combines resolution and sensitivIty with superior mass accuracy for analysis of released sugars (N-glycans). Coupled with a Waters ACQUITY UPLC H-class system with fluorescent detector, it provides relative quantitation as well as mass confirmation.
Manufacturer: Waters
Model Name: Waters Xevo G2-S QTOF
Applications: Free release N-glycans analysis
Instrument Overview: The mass spectrometer is equipped with high resolution and high stability quadrupole analyzer (MS1), plus pre-filters to maximize resolution and transmission while preventing contamination. It incorporates the StepWave™ ion optics for the high level of sensitivity, resolution and accuracy. It also has the ability to perform MSE to collect the maximum amount of data from a single analysis. It is coupled to an UPLC with a fluorescent detector.
Technical features and specifications:
Mass range: m/z 20 to 4000 (quadrupole, resolving mode), m/z 20 to 100,000 (TOF)
A high mass quadrupole option is available with a mass range of up to m/z 100,000 in non-resolving mode and up to m/z 32,000 in resolving mode.
Ion source: High performance ZSpray™ dual-orthogonal API source
Acquisition mode: Full scan, MS/MS product ion scanning, DDA, MSE
Resolution mode: >32,500 FWHM measured on the (M+6H)6+ isotope cluster from bovine insulin (m/z956) at a data acqusition rate of 30 spectra per second
