Instrument Overview: In this system, Acousto Optical Beam Splitter (ABOS) technology has replaced the dichroic mirror based emission detection with prism based spectral detection for up to 5 channels simultaneousely. It has a 405nm excitation laser, in addition to tuneable White Light Laser (WLL) for every nm to excite any fluorophore in the range of 440-790 nm, making it suitable for any fluorophore within this range. Its detection range is also suitable for NIR dyes, with detection ranges from 410- 850 nm. The inbuilt in Tau Sense option allows to extract fluorophore lifetimes from confocal image data. The system is also equipped with a stage heater, objective heater and chamber to deliver humidified CO2-rich air.
